Publishers
Overview¶
To be able to choose a publisher for a catalog or a dataset, you need to add publishers in EntryScape. Publishers are managed as separate entities in EntryScape. You can add several publishers, which is useful if your organization is publishing datasets for another organization.
Create publisher¶
To create a publisher, go to Publishers and click on "Create".
There you enter the Name of the publishing organization. It is also recommended to choose which type of organization it is and preferably enter a homepage and an email address (optional).
Filter publishers¶
If your EntryScape is configured so that publishers are globally accessible from multiple directories, you can choose whether to list all publishers stored on the instance, or only list those belonging to a specific catalog, by checking or unchecking the “Restrict to current catalog box.
Edit publisher¶
You can always fill in more details later. Just click on the "Edit" pen on the right in the list of publishers.
Or you can go to the publisher overview page where you can both edit and remove publishers using the buttons.
There you can also remove the publisher by clicking on the "Remove" button.
Change URI for a publisher¶
If you need to change the URI for a publisher, for example if you manage several catalogs that happen to have the same URI, you can click the button "Change URI" (provided that you are a group manager or admin).
Then you can enter a new link.
See detailed information¶
If you want to see more detailed information about a publisher or a contact, click on the information icon.
Then you get a popup dialog where you can see metadata such as type of publisher or email address to a contact as well as all entities linking to or from your dataset. Read more about detailed information.
