Catalog¶
The catalog is the place where the organization manages metadata and publishes datasets as open data. Click on Catalog.
Working in your catalog¶
Next, select the catalog(s) from the list that you will have access to and where your dataset is suitable to work with and publish to.
Overview in the catalog¶
When you are in the catalog, you can see various features such as Suggestions, Datasets, Showcases and more.
Datasets¶
Before you start adding a new dataset or editing a dataset - try searching at the top under the Suggestions tab to see if the dataset has already started to be prepared as a proposal or dataset.
A dataset can exist in different information sets and you can see this inside the edit view of the data set. If your organization has Workbench, you can also see it from the Workbench tool in the list where you find the link.
Suggestions¶
When you are in the overview view of a catalog, you can click on Suggestions. This is generally the first step in publishing a dataset. To work with suggestions, see Suggestions.
Publishers¶
When you are in the overview view of a catalog, you can click on Organizations. This is relevant if your organization is publishing data sets for another organization. To work with publishers, you can read more at Publishers.
Contacts¶
When you are in the overview view of a catalog, you can click on Contacts. To work with contacts, see Contacts.
Showcase¶
When you are in the overview view of a catalog, you can click on Showcase. To work with showcases, see Showcase.
Ideas¶
